We enjoyed dinner out on Valentine's weekend with Dave and Patty Howell. I worked at Durham Intermediate with Patty for 3 years. Strangely enough, we both left the school this past year but have stayed in contact. She was great help to me during my pregnancy, as I did not have my mommy close to lean on. Poor me!
We dined at Buca di Beppo in Southlake. It was totally yummy and we ate WAY too much. One quick, funny story from the night. Our waitress was rambling (as they all do), going over the menu, and gawking over Holt. During her talk, Patty and Dave showed up. And the first thing out of her mouth was, "Oh, he's so excited because his grandma is here now." I thought we were all going to die. Patty was appalled, to say the least. She has a freshman in college and just about choked at the idea of being a grandmother. And we laughed and gave the waitress a hard time. Needless to say, she returned to the kitchen to remove "foot from mouth"!
