Out of Commission

We have been out of commission for a couple weeks now.

Last weekend we enjoyed serving at DNow at our church. The 7/8 grade girls (and a DBU student) camped out for the weekend at the Lightner house. Russ spent the weekend bunking with the 7/8 grade boys at their host home. What a whirlwind it was! Nana Flynt made the trip down to help with the kids and to run interference. Thank you!

This week we had some work done in our home (drywall damage, nail pops from our roofing job, painting, etc). It has been a crazy week coordinating all of the fun involved with contractors. But we survived and were very pleased with the outcome. Below are some pics of the new colors we are sporting in our home these days!

Our Red Kitchen!
We took the plunge... and you should too!

Our warm, gold-toned living room!
This is such a large room and we needed a color to make it intimate and cozy.
(notice Holt's head in the bottom of the pic)

Our cabin bathroom!
We painted the walls a grey/green hardware color.

The best part is that our ceilings received a fresh coat of paint AND all of the rooms are trimmed professionally. Love it! Russ and I are pretty good painters (well, I have actually painted most of the rooms in our home)... but there's something to be said for a professional job of trimming.

Love the colors!
We are trying to decide on a color for our bedroom/bathroom. Want to come paint? J/K :-)
