Birthday Boy

Holton Jace turned 2 this past Friday. Time sure does fly by. We had some low key birthday fun with cousins Julia and Hannah. They enjoyed eating, playing, and swimming. What more could a 2 year old need?!



We enjoyed a park outing a few months ago with Ms. Bailey and her momma (and Nathan). Bailey is about the closest thing to Holt's age at church, and they sure do love to play together. And oddly enough, Nathan and Marin are also the same age.

They look so little compared to that tree and the surroundings. They were plotting their duck chasing at this point.


A stop on the bridge to feed the ducks. Do you see the duck right over Holt's head?


A quick smile (okay, frown) for mom. And might I mention that it was stinkin' hot that particular day. Oh wait, we live in Texas. It's HOT every day.

And finally, Holt caught up with one of the ducks. The events that happened after I snapped this picture are worth telling. He began a hot pursuit of the duck, and in doing so, almost ran/fell/slipped right into the water. Now, I pretty much missed the whole thing, but Katie was on top of it and hustled down the bank to stop him just as he was about a gonner. It was awesome!!

We sure do love us some park time!
