* Today as Holt and I were laying on the bed.
H: Mom, what's Trixie doing?
A: She's biting and licking her feet, like she always does. Sigh
H: Oh, like this (as he bends down to lick and chew on his foot).
A: Sigh
* What's it gonna take to get my daughter to talk? But tonight she said "Hi Daddy" about a million times upon returning from church. So cute. And I think dad needed that. It's been a doozy of a week with freelance work.
* Holt's new trick is to run, dive head first into the couch, throw his feet up over the back, and yell "I upside down"! And he does some pretty crazy front handsprings. Weird but cool.
* Marin's sassy. She's a girl. Enough said.
* I was mowing the lawn yesterday evening, trying to hurry and get it crossed off the list before dad got home. We were in the back; I was mowing, the kids were playing. From across the yard I see Holt's mouth moving in a very familiar yelling form. I mowed up next to him and yelled back. Of course I couldn't hear him... turned the lawn mower off (sigh)... and asked him what the yelling was all about. He needed to pee. And he wanted to do it on the sticks. Perfect.
* Holt thinks it's funny to pull down his underwear and slap his tiny buns. Enough said.
* Anytime we come in from outside, the kids are trained (like dogs) to take their shoes off as soon as they get inside. I think Marin has taken it a step too far. She drops to her bottom AS SOON as she gets thru the door. We can't even shut the door behind her.
* Holt is going thru a phase of kissing, hugging, and telling us "I LOVE YOU"! I'll miss that. Enough said.
