Russ and I have lost our paternal grandmothers now, within a a short 5 month span of each other. We loved these ladies so much and are saddened with their passing. Oddly enough, both of our grandmothers shared the name Mary, as well as many other quirky characteristics. They were both women of laughter, extremely ornery, great cooks, and overflowing with LOVE for their family. We miss them and look forward to the day when we enjoy life with them again.
Below are the plants that we have brought to our home from the funerals. My job now is to keep them alive. So far, one of them has survived since September. Yes, it's a little brown... but it's still kickin'!

Good luck on keeping the plants alive! That is such a cool story about how similar they are! Crazy how God works things out like that!
