And The Angels Sang...

Last night was the kick-off party for our youth group under a new leader. It was an evening that we have prayed diligently for over the past few weeks. And it was the perfect reminder of why He is God. We prayed for a good turnout, as we were concerned because the schools were not in session yesterday because of the weather. That's right, we prayed for a good turnout. But God had different plans. My numbers may be a little off, but there were over 83 youth in attendance, a handful of college kids, and a slew of adults. Roughly, we are thinking 120+.

And at the end of the night... the Angels were singing! There were 3 salvations, of which all we were pumped about. But one in particular has weighed heavy on our hearts the past 6-7 months. Russ and I, as well as other friends of ours, have prayed diligently for one particular person. Even this past Sunday morning, Russ and I were praying during the invitation that this person would just step out. But God works on his time table... not ours. Yip, it happened last night. This person came to know Christ, our God... and this person will never be the same again. I had tears in my eyes as I watched the transformation taking place.

We serve an AWESOME GOD. He hears our prayers and he is faithful to see the work done. So, as I write this... I am truly pumped up. I challenge you to find that person in your life that does not know Christ. Pray for them, seek them out, love them, and watch God work.

And finally, a shout out to everyone involved last night. Kim and the band rocked the youth's faces off. The servant hearts of the adults was astounding. And PM gave his testimony... and a pin drop could have been heard in the room.

Thank you God for showing up... and I bet the Angels not only sang last night, but partied!!
