New Mexico Day 4

What a great time we had in New Mexico. Our last full day was spent doing pretty much the same thing as the others... resting, reading, playing with Holt, and eating. We did not do any traveling this day, other than a couple runs into the nearest town to get some grub. We ventured into the woods again. We climbed up one "hill", crossed over a ravine, and came down the other side.

Kids are such amazing little people. When we left our room, headed for the hike; Holt had fallen asleep. Of course we were thinking that it wouldn't last long, but boy were we wrong. He slept the entire way up and awoke only because we stopped to take a few pictures. It was truly an amazing sight. He was strapped to the front of Russ, warm against his chest, and had the utmost sense of safety with his daddy. WOW! If only we would melt into this same sense of security with our Father. What a lesson that was for me as I watched them ascend and descend the mountain together. Holt never cried or fussed and Russ never took his hand off of him. DOUBLE WOW!
