Memorial Weekend

We had a very busy Memorial weekend in Texas. We enjoyed time with many friends and had some great food. Yes, we welcomed summer in full force and had so much fun just being together as a family. We all know what this special day is set aside for... but Russ and I have been challenged to not let our kiddos grow up just thinking this is a 'burger-eating, water-playing, family/friend-hanging' type of weekend. We choose to remember those that have paid the ultimate sacrifice which allows us to enjoy these type of festivities EVERY DAY!

Here are a few pics of Marin sporting the red, white and blue. I tried to get a pic of Holt... but he's entered the 'too cool' mode and refuses to participate. We have entered the world of unaided sitting. YES! And check out those blue eyes.


And I tried to capture a pic of her up on her knees and hands, in full-force crawl mode. She rocks like crazy and is starting to bring her knees forward. Be interested to see how long it takes her to get it all in sync.
